Islington Healing Network
Community wellbeing. Real people. A place to belong.
I Am Well provides paid professional wellbeing services.
Islington Healing Network is the community organisation founded by Dee Marshall, offering accessible free and low-cost activities, events and opportunities to connect.
Islington Healing Network has been bringing people together since 2020.
Originally created during lockdown, IHN started online through Zoom so people could stay connected when many of us couldn't meet in person.
Today, our community continues both online and across Islington through wellbeing sessions, workshops, community outings and events.
Most of our community activities are for women, but we also welcome men, children and families at selected sessions and events.
Whether you're here to learn something new, meet people or simply see what's coming up next...
Welcome.

Community Moments
Women’s Circle
Our monthly online Women’s Circle is now in its sixth year.
It grew from a need for women to have their own space—to talk openly, be listened to and know that what they said would not be dismissed or overlooked.
The Circle meets online, with women joining from London, across the UK and internationally. New women are welcome.

Community Voices
Real conversations.
Real experiences. Real change.
Some of the most important conversations happen long before they reach a meeting room.
They happen in homes. At school gates. At work. Around a dinner table. After a community session. On a walk with a friend.
At Islington Healing Network, we believe those conversations matter.
Community Voices is a space to listen, learn and better understand the experiences of the people living, working and raising families in our communities.
Not because we claim to have all the answers.
Because we believe the people living the experience should help shape the conversation.
What We Talk About
Life affects us all differently.
Community Voices explores the issues that shape everyday life, including
mental wellbeing • women's health and wellbeing • men's wellbeing • parenting and family life • SEND and disability • loneliness and belonging • community safety • the cost of living • housing • work and financial pressures • ageing well • VAWG • health inequalities
And the issues our communities tell us matter most.
Why It Matters
Conversations are important.
What happens because of them matters even more.
Community Voices helps us better understand the experiences, ideas and challenges affecting the people we work alongside.
Those conversations may shape future IHN projects, community events, practical resources and partnerships. They also help us contribute to wider conversations with organisations working to improve the wellbeing of our communities.
We don't believe change happens overnight.
But every meaningful change starts with someone being prepared to listen.
Get Involved
Community Voices is for everyone.
Whether you'd like to share an experience, suggest an idea, join a discussion or simply listen, we'd love to hear from you.
There will be opportunities to contribute in different ways, including:
• Community conversations • Anonymous feedback • Surveys • Creative projects • Community events • Recorded interviews (optional) • Partnership discussions
One Conversation Can Change Everything
Sometimes the biggest changes begin with the simplest question.
"What are people experiencing?"
That's what Community Voices is here to explore.
One conversation at a time.
