Often Ask
Frequently Asked Questions
Does my child need any previous experience? No. Everything is explained in a relaxed, welcoming way. Children are encouraged to join in at their own pace and there is no pressure to get everything right.
What if my child is shy? That's absolutely fine. Many children take a little time to settle in. Sessions are designed to help children feel comfortable, build confidence and participate in ways that feel right for them.
Do parents stay during the sessions?Parents are welcome to stay if they feel their child would benefit from having them nearby. Many parents enjoy learning the practical wellbeing techniques alongside their child and continue using them together at home.
If you're looking for wellbeing support for yourself, I Am Well also offers sessions and workshops specifically for adults and parents.
What does my child need?Just a quiet space, a little room to move, a device with Zoom and a drink nearby. If any simple materials are needed for a particular activity, we'll let you know beforehand.
What happens after the six-week programme?Children are welcome to join future wellbeing workshops, holiday activities and family events throughout the year. Families can also stay connected through our newsletter to hear about new programmes, free resources and upcoming events.
What happens if we miss a session? If you've booked the programme and your child can't attend one week, you'll still receive that session's wellbeing resources so you can continue exploring the activities at home.
Are the sessions recorded? No. Children’s sessions are not recorded. This protects everyone’s privacy and gives children space to take part without a recording being kept.
