Babies & Early Years
Wellbeing support for parents, carers and families during
the first five years.
Life with a baby or young child changes quickly.
While children are learning to communicate, manage feelings and make sense of new experiences, the adults caring for them are often tired and carrying a great deal themselves.
Here you’ll find something to use at home, support for parents and sessions available for families, parent groups and early-years settings.
Breathe, Notice and Choose
A free printable activity mat for children aged 3–5 and the adults supporting them.
The mat includes three simple activities to try together: animal breathing, drawing a place where the child feels safe and comfortable, and choosing a colour to describe how they feel.
We’ll use your details to provide this resource. If you tick “Sign up for news and updates”,
you’ll also receive occasional I Am Well emails.

Looking After Yourself While Looking After Them
This 45-minute online workshop is for mums raising babies and young children.
Being needed throughout the day can leave very little room to notice what is happening in your own body. During the session, we look at some of the pressure that can build and use breathing, grounding, hand self-massage and simple aromatherapy ideas for the adult.
I run this workshop at selected times during the year rather than as a weekly commitment. You can register your interest and I’ll let you know when the next date is available.
Baby Massage
I offer baby massage sessions for parents and carers who would like to learn simple, gentle techniques they can use with their baby. Sessions can be arranged for parent groups, children’s centres, early-years settings and community organisations.
Story Massage for Families and Groups
Story Massage uses stories and positive touch to support connection between children and the adults caring for them. Children can join in at their own pace, and the adult remains involved throughout.
Story Massage is not baby massage. It does not involve oils, massage tables or removing clothing.
Sessions are available for parent groups, children’s centres, early-years settings, community organisations and family events.
I can also provide Calm at Home, guided relaxation, hand self-massage, parent wellbeing and parent-focused aromatherapy sessions.
Try This Together
Some children find it easier to settle after they have had an opportunity to move.
Stretch, Shake and Breathe is a short video for young children to join in with at home. They can follow along, watch first or do as much as they feel comfortable doing.
